2nd Annual Black Arts Festival at Studio@620 and Gallerie 909 in Downtown St. Pete
The festival will open on Friday evening at Studio @620 with “Dancing Like Home”, directed by Joyce Guy. There will be a meet and greet with the film maker and many other artists who will participate in the street festival on Saturday. Opening at 620 1st Avenue So, Friday, February 24, 6 – 8PM | $10.
On Saturday, February 25th Gallerie 909 will host the 2nd Annual Visual Arts festival showcasing work by local and national artists, reflecting art from the African diaspora. This festival will take place from 11AM – 6PM on 22nd Street between 9th and 11th Avenue South. There’s also a scheduled guided tour of the African American Heritage Trail. The Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American History Museum will be open to visitors during the festival with a morning workshop for youth.
