St. Petersburg Preservation (SPP) is pleased to invite the public to our 2017 Preservation Awards Celebration. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 8th, from 6 to 8:30 pm at the St. Petersburg Woman’s Club at 40 Snell Isle Blvd NE.
Guests will enjoy an evening of music from the talented Dean Johanesen, food and drink, as we honor the people, associations, and businesses that work to preserve, restore, and complement the city’s historic buildings and places. SPP will award winners of this prestigious award a flag that winners can proudly fly outside of their home or business showing that they are the recipient of a Preservation Award.
The evening will feature an exhibit and sale of watercolor paintings of area landmarks by artist Robert Holmes, who has generously donated his work to St. Petersburg Preservation as a fundraiser for the organization.
Event tickets are just $15 for SPP members and $20 for non-members and include hors d’oeuvres and one complimentary drink ticket. Reservations can be made online at www.stpetepreservation.org/event-2415284
The Preservation Awards recognize exemplary efforts in historic preservation over a broad range of categories, from adaptive use to residential rehabilitation and recognize those who have enlivened historic spaces which contribute to keeping St. Pete Special.
SPP works to foster an appreciation of St. Petersburg’s historic environment by educating the public about local historic resources, landmarking deserving sites and structures, and recognizing the people and business that help achieve this goal.
Historic Homes Workshop is the presenting sponsor of the St. Petersburg Preservations Awards. We also would like to thank Myers Antiques and Fine Art for their support as well as Joe and Robin Reed and the Stafford-Miranda Family.
